I'm shorting the NYC real estate market on @Parcl. Why? @ZohranKMamdani’s election and his progressive, affordability-focused agenda are key factors. Although I personally appreciate much of his proposals from a social standpoint, I believe his policies like universal rent control, a citywide eviction ban, and a freeze on stabilized rents will likely deflate and cool down an already overheated market. While I support his goal to enhance tenant protections and affordability, the wealthy individuals who make NYC real estate a prized asset absolutely will not. *sigh*
