Nash Garden 2025, Week 21 🌱 Always beautiful and rewarding to spend an hour in the garden, but we’re getting to the end of the season. 🍂 Small harvests of tomatoes 🍅, cucumbers 🥒, basil 🌿, and peppers 🌶️. Some fun extras too: Goji berries & Australian finger limes!
… some late season shots from the garden. 🥰
… Australian finger limes are a proto-citrus (watch the thorns) with almost magical fruit. Little pods filled with beads of lime 🍋‍🟩 juice, already separated, perfect for desserts or drinks.
… lots of avocados 🥑 this year. Excited for the harvest. 💯
… excited to have pomegranates, etrogs, and buddhas hand for the holidays this year. I have trees for all three major citrons: Yuzu, Etrog, and Buddha’s Hand.
… goji berries are eerily red, beautiful, and healthy. 🚨
… pretty happy with these two. Rio Red grapefruit is a wonderful variety grown primarily in Texas, but seems to do fine here. Dekopons, aka Sumo mandarins, also called “Shiranui” have been a long term project of mine… lots of fruit on a little tree. 🥰
… delighted to see this Keffir Lime 🍋‍🟩, also called a Makrut Lime, doing so well. Almost died five years ago when it was pulled out of the ground by mistake 😡 Took years, but look at the healthy leaves and fruit. We are so back.
