It’s incredibly bearish that Hyperliquid actually makes money because a 700x multiple would break the markets. Hyperliquid should try making less revenue to get a higher multiple.

Outside of $SOL, $HYPE is the one other alt I can see genuinely catching an institutional bid while growing as a secular onchain winner. For alt DATs to have any hope of existing longer than a few months it needs to be able to sustain (liquid) demand for the underlying.

NGL, after all these years, seeing $ETH included in the ATH discussions again brings a tear to my eye. Crypto is a better place when Ethereum is vibing.

if your excuse for missing ETH is "well, i couldn't have forecasted a Tom Lee creating an infinite bid for ETH," then i'm sorry folks, you need to hang it up right now conducting proper second and third order thinking should be taught in high schools

The selling $SOL to buy $ETH in the first half of 2025 trade is a classic example of how it does pay to be a contrarian in crypto, you just have to time the trend change correctly. It was straightforward to be relatively early to $SOL and ride the wave up. The people who held on at the pico bottom in 2022 deserve tons of credit, but there were plenty who joined along the way that could have turned their brain off and outperformed for awhile. But saying $ETH was going to trend down towards zero over time while $SOL was going to straightline to #2 in the rankings is exactly the type of midcurve groupthink behavior all of you used to label $ETH buyers. And now you’re the one underperforming. $SOL will have its day again, and this is not a commentary on Solana the blockchain which has consistently made amazing technical progress and built a terrific product. But I do think there’s probably a lesson in here for the traders and investors who were expecting a free lunch on the $SOLETH pair into eternity.
