The issue with NFT TGEs: give free internet money to people and they will sell it for cash, almost every single time. And because everyone knows NFTs always dump at TGE, they also sell their NFTs. The result? Token down, NFT down. The start of a death spiral. Instead, let people buy the ecosystem token at a micro cap price through a fair launch, and put the team in the same shoes as everyone else. You may have the recipe of a much more sustainable organically-growing asset ecosystem, especially if you manage to tie it all together with a smart contract. Remember this: no one ever got Bitcoin for free, or was able to buy it at a discount to everyone else because of their position of privilege. I feel there might be a lesson in there. People are waking up to those new ideas, and a new order may emerge out of this change in mindset. Just some evening thoughts…
