Another irony of the "AI has killed programming" narrative is that so many more people are programming now than ever before. People I know who haven't coded in decades are back at it nightly and loving it.

To be clear, it's because they're so powerful they burn through what they're good at many orders of magnitude faster then you can do by hand. But there is this Amdahl's-law-esque property that all AI work converges on the stuff the models aren't good at pretty quickly.
