Excited to publish our research on measuring “time to cash” in @Maplefinance vaults, co-authored with @serotonin We analyze Effective Redemption Duration across three vaults: syrupUSDC, MPLhysUSDC, and syrupUSDT. Link to the full research below.
tl;dr syrupUSDC behaves like a short-duration, near-cash position. Most withdrawals clear same-day, averaging under 5 minutes over the past two months due to near-instant liquidity. Multi-day average days are rare and remain well within Maple’s stated “up to 30 days” window for syrupUSDC.
MPLhysUSDC sits in a short-to-medium duration band. Many withdrawals are still same-day, but there’s a visible tail out to roughly two weeks, consistent with a secured-credit vault where liquidity depends on repayments and collateral management.
syrupUSDT also shows a near-cash profile: median Effective Redemption Duration is 0 days, and average processing time is ~0.28 days. Over the past two months, the average has been under 5 minutes. Even the slowest withdrawal in the sample completes in 7.1 days, comfortably inside Maple’s stated “up to 30 days” range for syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT.
